Introduction
Project management is a distinct professional discipline, having its own body of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project objectives. It provides the opportunity to gain the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for performing the role of project manager. The course adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in such industries as construction, engineering, education, health, commerce, information technology and research and development.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
Appropriate bachelors degree from a recognised tertiary institution and a minimum of two years relevant work experience, or a minimum of five years relevant management experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is of one year part-time study.

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
