MCom(Curtin)

Introduction

This course has been designed for professional logistic specialists who are interested in developing careers in logistics management and/or in logistics. Areas of study will relate to transportation, physical distribution, warehousing, material and inventory management, purchasing, manufacturing, location modelling, retailing and information system linkages for government and private industries on a national and global basis.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A degree in business, commerce, economics or other appropriate field from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or equivalent qualification, plus two years relevant work experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is only available full-time over four semesters.

Intermediate Awards

A student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Business or Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Head of School. For further definition refer to the Statement and Awards section under General Information.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
