Introduction

This course provides registered nurses with the theoretical foundation relevant to neuroscience nursing and guides nursing practice in this specialised area of nursing. Applicants are expected to have prior knowledge and skills related to neuroscience nursing as this collaborative course is built on the Graduate Certificate in Neuroscience Nursing course provided by Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Western Australia.

Evidence of successful completion of appropriate research units is also a course prerequisite. Selection is based on academic performance, clinical experience, professional references, 12 months post-registration clinical experience, a satisfactory academic record and evidence of appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.

Specific Requirements

Applicants for this course should refer to the Communicable Diseases and Criminal Record Screening/Clearance Section of this publication.
