126411 v.2 Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management

GradCertHumResMgnt(Curtin)

Introduction

In the late 1980s many organisations substantially redesigned and expanded personnel departments into human resource management departments often with a significant increase in status and responsibilities. Many positions which were substantially clerical or administrative in the old personnel department now have upgraded responsibilities and a more professional training approach. This course provides experienced human resource management staff, without a first degree, the opportunity to acquire a formal qualification in the discipline.

Professional Recognition

The course meets the accreditation requirements of the Australian Human Resource Institute.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
