Introduction

This course focuses on the development of further knowledge and skills in a selected nursing speciality area.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A registered nurse with an undergraduate degree. Other qualifications and significant work experience are considered in meeting admission requirements. Overseas applicants are required to have completed a nursing program of three years or more leading to registration, be currently registered in their own country and provide documentation to that effect.

Applicants for this course should refer to the Communicable Diseases and Criminal Record Screening/Clearance Section of this publication.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is of two semesters part-time study. As some units are offered only once in each year, there is some limitation of choice.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
