The unit teaches financial economics as applied to individual firms. The unit emphasises skills necessary for the chief financial managers to make financing and investment decisions. The unit provides a systematic and rigorous treatment of controveresialissues such as capital optimal structure, dividend payouts, agency costs, mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
