Introduction
Building on foundation study of business and mining disciplines, this program prepares candidates for more senior management roles in the mining and energy sectors. It focusses on economic, financial and management issues as they relate to both mining and energy. The delivery of the program involves a strategic alliance between the Western Australian School of Mines and the Curtin Business School and international professors also participate.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A four year bachelors degree or equivalent from a recognised university and two years work experience.

Specific Requirements
Students complete 12 one week coursework units, two year long individual case study projects and a final one week integrative case study. The 12 coursework units consist of six core units, three units which depend on whether the student comes from eitheran engineering and science or another background, and a three unit concentration in either mining or energy.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is normally completed over two years of accelerated part-time study. The normal annual entry is in January. Units within this course are offered in a variety of formats.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
