Syllabus: Evidence informed knowledge and skills related to complex midwifery practice. Complex pregnancy, labour and birth and postpartum care. Caring for babies with special needs. Midwifery emergencies. Perinatal mental health. Bereavement and loss. Bio-psychosocial, cultural and developmental dimensions related to the complex childbearing period. Indigenous maternal and perinatal outcomes.
