Syllabus: This unit is a high level legal skills unit, which is designed to develop legal research and written and oral communication skills to an internationally competitive level of excellence, culminating in competition participation at that level. Students undertake detailed research in relation to a complex legal scenario to develop and revise draft and final written submissions, prior to oral advocacy. The oral argument is also iterative, with students having multiple opportunities to develop their advocacy skills. Students work both individually and as part of the team throughout these processes.
