Syllabus: An exploration of the ways in which mobile interfaces have become part of our everyday life, how they are developed and marketed, and the culture that has evolved around them. The unit allows students to investigate the impact of locative media on lifestyle and information transfer; to analyse what makes a successful app, and gives them the opportunity to engage both critically and creatively in the visualisation and development of simple apps using proprietary programs.
