STRP-PICNG v.1 Paediatric Intensive Care Nursing Stream (GDip ClinNurs)

Major/Stream Overview

This major/stream is part of a larger course. Information is specific to the major/stream, please refer to the course for more information.

Students studying the Paediatric Intensive Care Nursing Stream will focus on the care and management of critically ill paediatric patients requiring intensive care. As in the intensive care program, students will need to be registered nurses working in a dedicated paediatric intensive care setting and will combine learning from the applied clinical sciences to the practice context. The stream aims to take nurses who wish to specialise in the area to be competent in all aspects of paediatric intensive care.

Major/Minor/Stream Organisation

Students need to stay in original stream as this is linked to the employment sector and scholarship.
