Syllabus: An overview of the specialised knowledge services required in today's special and one-person libraries. Unusual management techniques, the qualities required of the librarian, and the competencies and efficiencies required in managing an information service under what can often be very challenging conditions. Project based on particular special library service provision, e.g. law, health, geo-science, non-government organisations.
