| Syllabus: | This Unit reviews and analyses corporate finance theories, tools and techniques, and their application in modern financial decision making. It aims to familiarise students with corporate sector financial management with respect to the main issues faced by financial managers of public companies. Topics covered are: information asymmetry and signalling; agency theory; capital markets and sources of funds; capital budgeting under uncertainty; capital structure; dividend policy; the market for corporate control; and corporate governance. |
