This stream has developed with two distinct areas of clinical specialisation, operative nursing practice and anaesthesia recovery. By enrolling in the Perioperative Stream registered nurses can specify which of these two areas they wish to pursue in detail. This course is for the nurse who is working in the perioperative area and wishes to expand their professional competence to an advanced level whilst concurrently undertaking an academically sound course which embraces evidence based practice and critical thinking.
