Syllabus: History, review of OO basics, terms and definitions. Introduction to the Unified Modelling Language. Overview of UML diagrams. Introduction to the rational unified process. CRC cards, class diagrams and class relationships. Object-oriented design issues.UML interaction diagrams: sequence and collaboration diagrams. Modelling events: activity and state diagrams. UML components and deployment diagrams. Software patterns. The rational unified process revisited.
