Syllabus: Principles of disease processes: causes, characteristics, medical procedures, cell injury, inflammation and tissue repair, abnormal growth patterns, ischaemia, carcinogenesis, ageing, metabolic and homeostatic disorders. Roles of the blood cells and immune system in disease: cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, osteoarticular and connective tissue disorders.
