Syllabus: Effective research using printed and electronic material, academic scholarship and referencing, writing well and knowing why, conventions of written language and the writing process, conventions of a range of written genres, argument development, reflective practice in writing and learning. Particularly recommended to students in the Faculty of Media, Society and Culture, and relevant to those preparing for professional contexts requiring significant attention to writing skills.
