Syllabus: Basic demographic concepts in the analysis of fertility, mortality, nuptiality and migration. The Australian population. Elementary descriptive statistical methods. Modules will discuss particular topics with a primary emphasis on Australia. For example,regional and urban planning and development, migration and multiculturalism, the Aboriginal population and women in the workforce.
