Syllabus: Distribution of elements within common rock units and minerals. Review of Eh and pH. Chemical mobility during weathering. Sample collection, preparation, digestion and analysis. Graphical and statistical methods of data interpretation. Database management. Survey techniques including stream sediments, soil, rock and miscellaneous survey types. Introduction to environmental geochemistry.
