305274 v.1 Accounting and Financial Planning Double Major


Introduction

This specialised double major is designed to provide a sound understanding of the process of accounting and financial planning together with the fundamental skills and knowledge required in professional practice. It provides a good foundation for those intending to gain employment in professional accounting practices, commerce as well as the finance industry. Graduates seeking entry into the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) must do both Finance (Personal) 220 and Estate Planning 326. Theadditional unit will be outside the structure of the double major and you may incur an additional fee to undertake this unit. It is recognised as being acceptable for Associate membership of CPA Australia, and the National Institute of Accountants and entry to the ICAA graduate program.
