Introduction

This major is designed to provide the theoretical foundations and techniques of management, law, logistics, purchasing and contract administration. Students study a range of issues applicable to strategic procurement including: competitive conduct, strategy, logistics and management. Graduates are expected to obtain employment in both the public and private sectors. Public sector employers include: the State Supply Commission, Department of Contract and Management Services and local government authorities. Private sector employers include: commercial organisations and mining companies.
