Design of spur and helical gears - Application of AGMA standard. Fundamental force geometry. Design of Rotating Shafts - Design to Australian Standard 1403. Rolling Bearings - Application, Selection and sizing of rolling element bearings. Design and Application of Pumps - Pump types and applications. Positive displacement, rotary and rotordynamic pumps. Impeller design of centrifugal pumps. Volutes, Shafts, Sealing arrangements. Vibration. NPSH.
