This unit provides an introduction to economic analysis covering key principles in both microeconomics and macroeconomics. The syllabus incorporates traditional theory topics such as the economics of markets, price determination, market structures, business cycles, economic growth, inflation and unemployment, international trade, and economic policy. The syllabus also emphasizes the application of economic theory to real world events.
