Introduction to the practical aspects of field geology, including air photo interpretation, map reading, use of global positioning systems, navigation in remote areas and identification of basic rock types in the field. The unit will consist of a week long field excursion to the Kalgoorlie region, to be held in the week prior to the mid-semester break.
