Examination of performance and safety features of viticulture machinery and factors influencing machine performance from the viewpoint of a decision maker. An awareness of mechanisation trends in viticulture systems in Australia. Basic engineering principles of engines, power transmissions, traction, tillage, seeding, spraying and harvesting machinery use and maintenance. Shelters and structures and windbreaks.
