The nature of data collected in epidemiological and biomedical research. Statistical and graphical methods for describing and reporting data in the health sciences. Methods for the investigation of clinical and public health problems. The logic of inferential statistics. Confidence intervals. Methods for testing hypotheses. Association, causation, interpretation of data. Use of spreadsheets.
