Flotation fundamentals - electrokinetics as applied to separation processes, surface adsorption and flotation reagents, mineral bubble interactions, flotation equipment, kinetics. Flotation of sulphides, non sulphides, coal flotation and agglomeration. Geometrical aspects of mineral textures with reference to liberation, QEMSCAN analysis, analysis of mineral surfaces, and identification of adsorbed species on minerals and their affects on flotation.
