Structural Analysis (15 credits) - Analysis of frames and structures using stiffness and flexibility matrix analyses. Computer package programs, their use and adaptation for civil engineering applications. Stress Analysis (10 credits) - Analytical determination of stresses, strains and deformations in civil engineering structures. An introduction to structural dynamics including the use of computer programs for analysis. Case studies of analytical problems and engineering failures.
