Nature of genomic DNA, chromosomes and proteins, gene structure and functions, mutation, Mendelian inheritance - dominant and reccessive genes, inbreeding, linkage, mapping of genes, including disease genes and pedigrees. Creation of DNA libraries and their uses. Variety and retrieval of genetic information from genomic databases using the Internet.
