Cognitive development- Piaget, Vygotsky, Information processing, concepts, language, memory. Genetics and intelligence- Psychometric and Sternbergian views. Effect of the environment on the early development. Dealing with the psychosocial stages of Kohlberg to promote positive resolutions, Freud's id, ego and superego, defence mechanisms and personality development. Moral development from Piaget and Kohlberg's theories. Social development- attachment, play, peers, family, parenting styles. Psychosocial development- Erikson. Emotional development- empathy and regulation, fear, anger, sadness, aggression, self-consciousness, temperament. Physical and motor development.
