An introduction to the Japanese language aimed at the basic communicative competence in all the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, and cultural knowledge associated with the topics dealt with. For reading and writing, hiragana, katakana and kanji are used. The style is used is mainly the polite style. Not available to students whose first language is Japanese.
