This unit focuses on the application of concepts, knowledge, skills and current research findings related to midwifery care of well clients in community and hospital settings. Exploration of the role of the midwife. Midwifery practice in antenatal, intrapartal, postnatal areas. Standards of midwifery practice (ACMI, 1989), midwifery competencies (ACMI, 1996).
