Strategies and practices used to cope with the problem of deteriorating materials in information centres. Causes of deterioration of information media such as paper, photographs and electronic storage. Strategies and practices to preserve the artefact and preventative strategies. Preservation of information content through reformatting, including digitisation. Implementation of a preservation program.
