Introduction to properties of fluids. Hydrostatics, stress strain relationships. The basic equations of fluid dynamics. Dimensional analysis. Boundary layers and turbulence. Inviscid flow-potential and rotational flow. Vorticity. Complex variables and conformal mapping. Flow over immersed bodies. Geophysical fluids. Motion in a rotating reference frame. Open channel flows. Diffusion processes in fluids.
