Mobile radio channel characteristics. Multipath propagation and fading. Statistical channel characterisation. Multiples access techniques - FDMA, TDMA and CDMA. Conventional and trunked private mobile radio systems. Cellular radio system design. Base station and mobile radio equipment. Recent developments in mobile radio communications.
