Ideologies and processes in Australian and international politics. Australian politics - democratic principles, electoral systems, voting behaviour. Liberalism, conservatism and socialism - main elements and historical development. Political parties in Australia. Principles of international politics. Political systems in Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe involving military intervention, the coup d'etat, the use of terror, and armed revolutions.
