Introduction
This course is designed for experienced information systems or information technology professionals who recognise a need to increase their knowledge and skills in the planning, development, application and management of information systems and technologyin competitive, global business environment. Students are exposed to a range of new concepts, methodologies and technologies aimed at supporting organisations in the more effective and efficient achievement of corporate objective.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A bachelors degree in information systems, information technology or computer science is preferred. Applicants with a bachelors degree in a business or related discipline are also encouraged to apply. Relevant work experience is a requirement for all applicants. For students with extensive experience and training in the information technology industry, the requirement for a recognised degree may be waived at the discretion of the Head of School. Applicants falling into this category may be required to undertake the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is of three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study. The course may be commenced in either semester depending on the availability of units.

Course Organisation
Variation from the stated units is not normally permitted.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
