146304 v.3 Master of International Finance



Introduction

This course is a challenging and flexible program that develops global managerial competencies in the Asia/Pacific region for professional managers with a finance responsibility. The program features guided independent study, team projects and maximum use of information and communication technology. A feature of the program is its action learning format and emphasis on international business competencies.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelors degree in a field other than finance. Depending on their previous field of study students may be required to complete one or more foundation units before commencing the first stage.

Specific Requirements

Candidates without sufficient background may be required to complete one or more of the following foundation units before commencing the first stage - Economics Analysis and Asian Economics 550, Law (International Business) 533, Financial (Managerial) 512, Finance (Principles) 515.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is of three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time (including evening) study. The duration of the course depends on previous qualifications and experience.

Professional Recognition

Completion of this course satisfies the educational requirements for admission as a Senior Associate member of the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study. Students may undertake astudy tour unit at their own expense.
