UNIT REFERENCES, TEXTS, OUTCOMES AND ASSESSMENT DETAILS: | The most up-to-date information about unit references, texts and outcomes, will be provided in the unit outline. |
Syllabus: | This unit provides an introduction to three subject areas: resource geology, use of process mineralogy data and understanding simple experimental design, with an emphasis of utilising exploration materials through to small-scale testing and industry standard bankable metallurgical testing. The unit will primarily address Australian geometallurgical case studies. The unit will also explore key areas of mine site stakeholders and the 'value chain'. The students will gain a full understanding of theory and principles of geometallurgy both from a classical point of view and from a business perspective with the introduction of 'value chain'. |
