STRU-ENVPM v.1 Environment Pre-major (BSc Science)
Major/Stream Overview

Students who wish to study Biological Science, Biochemistry, Coastal and Marine Science or Environmental Science must enrol in this pre-major. It provides students with the foundation knowledge and skills necessary to pursue their interest in these areas of science.

Specifically, applicants require TEE Discrete Mathematics or Mathematics 2C/2D, and a TEE Science subject or a Science course of study- Level 3A/3B.

## Students who have completed Chemistry Level 3A/3B AND who are seeking to do the Environmental Biology Major or Coastal & Marine Science Major must enrol in this unit
* ELECTIVES should be chosen carefully to meet requirements for future studies and prerequisites for second year units. Electives can be any unit for which you have the prerequisites from across the university.
** Only for students who have completed Mathematics 2C/2D or equivalent
+ Students wishing to do the Environment Science Major in Year 2 must do MATH1008 Calculus and Linear Algebra in place of MATH1005 Pre Calculus and STAT1001 Statistical Probability
++ The following Semester 2 unit may be taken as an elective and is essential for students seeking to do the Environmental Science Major: (CHEM1002) Reactivity and Function in Chemistry. See your Course Coordinator for more information.
^ Students who have completed Chemistry Level 3A/3B AND who are seeking to do the Environmental Science Major must enrol in this unit
^^ Students who have completed Mathematics Level 3C/3D or better must enrol in this unit
