Syllabus: Valuations of properties for statutory purposes or where the value is heavily influenced by the law. Rating valuations under the Valuation of Land Act and associated case law. The procedures and bases of compensation when land is taken compulsorily, for example, under the Land Administration Act in Western Australia and associated case law. Relevance of other statutes to valuations of properties affected by native title claims, heritage listing, contamination and similar. Introduction to rent reviews, GST & Native Title. Prescribed standards and case law.
