Introduction

This course combines the business acumen of the award-winning MBA with advanced units in leadership, critical thinking and ethics. With its focus on strategy and leadership, the course is particularly relevant for students in senior and executive roles dealing with complex organisational and leadership challenges.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution and at least three years subsequent, relevant work experience. Graduates from the Curtin Graduate Certificate in Business will be considered qualified for entry. Entry to the course is competitive and applicants will be required to undertake an interview as the final stage of application assessment.

Specific Requirements

The Graduate Board of Examiners requires, unless there are exceptional circumstances, that those with more than two failures in the course or more than four units with grades below 60 per cent be excluded from the course, so as to maintain the high standard expected of such a prestigious qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

The course may be completed in 2 years full-time or the equivalent in part-time study. The course may be completed internally or with a mix of both internal and online study.

Intermediate Awards I

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees apply.

Intermediate Award 11

Graduate Certificate in Business, Graduate Diploma in Business, Graduate Certificate in Procurement, Master of Business Administration.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
