Introduction

This stream combines studies of sedimentary basins and petroleum geology with aspects of geophysics and petroleum engineering related to the evaluation, development and exploitation or oil and gas resources.

Duration and Availability

The stream is one year full- time or equivalent part-time. The Petroleum Geology stream is only available at the Miri Sarawak campus.

Career Opportunities

Those completing this stream will be well prepared for an honours degree in petroleum geology and related topics, or for direct employment in the petroleum exploration and production industries.
