311230 v.2 Acute Care Nursing Stream (Master of Clinical Nursing)

Introduction

This stream has been developed for the nurse who is working in the clinical area and wishes to expand their professional competence to an advanced level whilst concurrently undertaking an academically sound course which embraces evidence based practice and critical thinking. This course focuses on a broad range of acute care nursing practice, both from an acute care perspective and chronic disease management model. The structure of the course recognises the growing complexity of the acute hospitalised patient with multiple co-morbidities impacting care requirements.
