Syllabus: Human inquiry through naturalistic and experimental designs relating to occupational therapy evidence - based practice. The relationship of theory and research to occupational therapy practice. Issues of methodology in designs, including sampling, analysis and ethics. A review of measurement and constructs of validity and reliability for critical analysis of the literature. Outcome research and its relevance to occupational therapy. Ethics in research. Analytical techniques in naturalistic and experimental design. Selection and application of statistical procedures.
