Syllabus: This unit covers both written and spoken Chinese at an introductory level that builds on prior knowledge. We use a communication-oriented approach to help you develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing Standard Modern Chinese so thatyou will be able to communicate with speakers of Chinese in simple day-to-day situations. You are encouraged to acquire the four essential language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. A wider introduction to Chinese culture and the structure of the Chinese language.
