Introduction

This one-year course is for international educators who hold a minimum three-year teacher education degree or equivalent (as assessed by the Australian Government) and who do not meet eligibility requirements for admission to the Master of Education. Admission to the course is restricted to those persons whose first language is not English but who have an IELTS of 6.5 or higher. Completion of the course will provide the opportunity for successful students with a course-weighted average of 65% or higher to articulate directly into the Master of Education. This course will not qualify graduates for registration as a teacher in Western Australia; three-year trained teachers wanting registration with the Western Australian College of Teachers [WACOT] are advised to enrol in the Bachelor of Education Conversion course.

An education/teaching degree assessed as being the equivalent of a three-year Australian degree. A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 in all categories is required.
